WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida woman was convicted for her role in a family scheme to hide tens of millions of dollars in offshore bank accounts that stretched from Switzerland to Israel to Panama and Andorra.

On Monday, Gilda Rosenberg pleaded guilty to working with two family members to hide more than $90 million in assets and income in banks outside the United States, the U.S. Justice Department reported.

According to prosecutors, members of Rosenberg’s family have held offshore accounts for the past half-century. By the 1990s, the Golden Beach woman knew she and her family were not disclosing those accounts to the U.S. government nor were they paying taxes on money made off them.
